This year’s Super Bowl will be remembered for more than just the matchup on the field. A conservative organization has stirred controversy by planning a rival halftime show to take place at the same time as the official Super Bowl halftime performance.

Turning Point USA, a political nonprofit known for its presence on college campuses and conservative activism, announced that it will host an event called the All-American Halftime Show on February 8, 2026. The goal of the event is to offer an alternative to the NFL’s halftime entertainment according to People.

The All-American Halftime Show is scheduled to air around 8 p.m. Eastern Time, right when the official Super Bowl halftime show will be happening. Turning Point USA has described its event as a family-friendly, values-driven performance celebrating faith, family, and freedom.

Leading the lineup is Kid Rock, a musician known for his patriotic themes and conservative fan base. He will be joined by country artists like Lee Brice, Brantley Gilbert, and Gabby Barrett, bringing a mix of rock and country to the alternative broadcast.

Unlike the NFL’s official halftime show, which this year features global superstar Bad Bunny, Turning Point USA’s broadcast will not be tied to the league or its media partners. Instead, it plans to stream its show on social media platforms like YouTube, X, and Rumble, and on several conservative-leaning networks, including Trinity Broadcasting Network, Daily Wire+, Real America’s Voice, and more according to People.

The announcement reflects ongoing cultural debates about entertainment and representation in major national events. Bad Bunny’s selection for the Super Bowl halftime stage drew criticism from some conservative figures, who felt the choice did not reflect traditional American values. In response, Turning Point USA’s leaders decided to present an alternative that they say will resonate with audiences seeking a different kind of show.

The All-American Halftime Show will run at the same time as Super Bowl LX, when the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots face off in Northern California. It remains to be seen how many viewers the alternative broadcast will attract, but the plan underscores how cultural and political divisions are now extending into America’s most-watched sporting events. According to People, the initiative highlights just how heated discussions about entertainment and identity have become in the lead-up to this year’s game.
